| WISHES ON A PLANE - this faint line 10' (time as a color) |
|
I've known Wishes On A Plane since the time when they played amazing pop-songs. Over the years the line-up has changed, Gebi and Josef left the band and Tobi and Anna joined. What stayed was and is the amazing music, which is neither pop anymore. Wait... that's a lie, but describing Wishes On A Plane's music isn't easy, which you can take as a compliment. You could say the Red Sparrows have decided to make a melancholic record with Coney Noise. The most parts of the songs are instrumental and only a tiny part of the songs have singing, shouting and crying. I like this a lot, because the vocals supplement the music and give its melancholic sound a sense and it's good music and it's good lyrics that makes a song for me. Concerning the music there's to add that the guys have very fine melodies that aren't eye-catching the first time you listen to them, but have the quality to swell to something very special. And this is the kind of art one should like, isn't it? |
