I wonder how many reviews start like "ha ha, this isn't surf music at all, but Rock'N'Roll!" Probably lots of, and I managed to start like this on the crook that way, too. Well, the Surfaholics are from Bregenz in Austria and on their second Album they play some pretty mod Punk'N'Roll and - as themselves admit - following the paths of bands like the Devil Dogs. It's nice and rounsing, but in my humble opinion the best moments of "On the Rocks" are the melodic ones - that's when the severe rocker mien disappears from the musicians' faces. That's all I want to say. Not my can of bear, but at least well done.
