| MONOTEKKTONI - Love Your Neighbour? No, Thanks. (Sinnbus) |
| Tonia Reeh combines both faces of Sinnbus Records in one person: electronics and guitars. The last album of her guitar-based band called Masonne has been released in 2004, now her electronic alter ego Monotekktoni gained the lead with two albums in a row. To be honest, I've been waiting for another album of Masonne instead, because I really like them better. On "Love Your Neighbour? No, Thanks!" Tonia moves along with her ego trip and tinkers some rumbling and noisy crumbs of electronic music and smears her exalted vocals over it. The album sounds handmade in a sympathetic way, but not as good as her labelmates like Bodi Bill oder Ampl:tude does. I wish she would rather meet her bandmates of Masonne once again. |
