As I noticed Hot Gossip have trouble with some reviewers who have probably heard one too many albums of this new wave retro style, hence they're writing things like "I can't hear it anymore". I think it isn't fair, because there have been even worse bands that have been treated kindlier. I agree that you can get worked up about this new wave of stylish bands, of which the worst would be Franz Ferdinand or similar. But please notice that in the first place Hot Gossip is a punk band that buck up their sound with modern flavours - and not the other way round. At least in most parts. "Angels" rocks! If nothing else, then the robot-like grooving last song called "Haarp" shows that this band has a lot more ingenuity than many others. At this point a big hooray for Noisolution who transferred a bunch of cool italian bands across the Alps. Not so long ago we thought that Italia is all about spaghetti and Gianna Nannini. But there's more!
