Emo is dead. Earl Mobile lives. That's what the three dudes claim to be. They're right. That's what we've been saying for years without knowing that Earl Mobile even lives. What a pity, because the music is a thoughtful piece of independent rock music. Without singing. While most hip pure instrumental bands find their home in metal sounds or in epic operas, Earl Mobileh stay where they are and play what they have: A guitar, a bass and a drumset. This purity works and the only effect they use is "the song works". Reminds me a bit of Ex Barker but with a softer sound. The five songs on An are enjoyably non-conform and somewhat different from all the walls of sound. If you have the chance to get this record and you have the chance and jump at the chance, you shouldn't hesitate. Because Earl Moileh doesn't like indecisions.
