My first thought when I listened to „Please devil, send me golden hair“: German old-school hardcore? Who the hell needs this? Fortunately I kinda forced myself to spend some more hours listening to this album. First off,the girl and the guys are doing this for about 13 years now and you can expect them to know what they’re doing. I mean, if you’re not the rolling stones you sure get better in your prime. And what you might ignore at first listen is – second – the huge variety of styles that are blown here. This album is full of surprises – a few not-so-positive ones but lots of positive ones. Despite the fact that Bubonix basically play their shit pretty old-school-style their music is honest and not a bit embarrassing. Conscious of my biased opinion this one is a big surprise to me.
