I really like the guys at F-Spin records, because usually they've got a good taste in music. But this time, well... Blockshot is a new band from Bonn featuring Fatzo of the fantastic Fluid To Gas on keyboards. The band calls itself a "keyboard driven riot grrrl punk" band, so why search for a more incisive term? The Ep is a little bit strenuous to listen to. I can condone the middling sound, because Blockshot recorded this in their rehearsal space - diy as usual. But Alvas voice really gets annoying after a while. The four songs are okay, but I got used to more exciting releases of F-Spin.
