| AUDREY - Visible Forms (Sinnbus) |
| I do not know why it is that the four ladies of Audrey always look this bad tempered on pictures, both on promo pics and live shots. Is living in Gothenburg or elsewhere in Sweden harder than in other places? The music doesn’t really change my point of view classifying Audrey as a band of not-so-funny people. Their songs are quiet in a pent-up way, you might get the impression that music is a damn serious thing. I don’t know if Audrey are friends with this guy from Musika77, because I would let them share stages without demurs, save that the latter are more melancholic and not as bad tempered. You know, while you want soothe Johann Krantz you think that you better hold back before you have it out with Audrey. Enough of those stale jokes. Audrey play some very beautiful songs. Sometimes you just need the sound and the smell of Swedish forests in your living room. The music is ambitious and becomes even more distinguished because of the cello in it. I’m going to tell you how this album works best in my opinin: turn on this album, open a bottle of a good wine, switch on the tv and watch a silent movie or a documentary film. But any serious topic. |
