ARMY OF ROBOTS - secret to everybody (dead famous) |
|
The story of Army Of Robots is fastly told. In 1999 Lawrence Hearn did some four track recordings. He had the help of many friends and musicians, among others Seth Ludman and Byron Anderson who are still in todays line-up of the band. Recordings with Seatlle's Jack Endino followed. If you ask Army Of Robots about their roots, they will tell you the 80's. More New Wave than Rock 'n Roll. More control than let it go. More Bowie and Reznor than Rose and Gallagher. But still rocking and not too sterile. And also not outdated. The music isn't my identification no. 1, but I like the sounds, the singing and the samplers a lot. Good stuff.
