A Day In Black And White are back with a new full length, and it's the first sign of life I've heard from these guys since their last record. They've done a split single with another band in between and maybe released some other stuff, so hit me when in your opinion I tell bullshit. Compared to the last record, this is the energetic mature work of a band who is impressing. If you change your shouting parts into singing, add more punkrock and try to do somthing new as a band, that is cool with me. But if you then start to sound like Fugazi, it's barefaced. In a good way, you know. Notes is a record, which is calmer in its sounds and its songs, but you can be sure that the loud parts are well placed and seem to be even more energetic. The song structures are awesome. Great stuff!
